Sonic are a versatile, high-energy four-piece rock/pop cover band.
The band members have many years of experience playing in live band situations in and around Perth, as well as abroad.
Sonic perform covers from AC/DC to ZZ Top as well as everything inbetween. Their repertoire spans across 5 decades, including the biggest hits of the 60’s all the way up to the current top 40.

So whether your occasion is a live music night at the pub, a corporate function or a private party, Sonic guarantees your entertainment needs will be taken care of.

Sonic are:
Richard Taylor: Lead/Backing Vocals & Guitar
UK born and bred, Richard performed around the London music scene for a number of years, with players from ‘Robbie Williams Band’, ‘Mungo Jerry’ and various 70’s bands.
Moving to Perth in 1998, he co-founded popular local bands ‘The Next’ and ‘Happy Jack’.

Cliff Kinneen: Keyboards & Backing Vocals
One of Perth’s undiscovered talents, Cliff has been ionvolved in a number of top acts such as ‘East’ , ‘Innocent Bystanders’, ‘Kingpiri’ and many more.
He has also shared the stage with such acts as ‘Dragon’, ‘INXS’ and ‘Cold Chisel’ to name just a few.

Mick Hodge:Lead Backing Vocals & Bass Guitar
Mick started his musical career playing trumpet with ‘The Premier Jazz Band’ as a 13 year old. Switching to Bass Guitar in his late teens, Mick played with various rock bands around Perth including ‘No Drama’, ‘Short Note’, ‘The Switch’ and ‘Psycho Daze’. Relocating to the UK in 1995 he performed with members of 60’s band ‘The Tremelos’ and ‘The Rubettes’ before becoming a founder member of ‘Junk Yard Dogs’ along with Richard and Mark, playing the club circuit in London. The band released their debut EP in 1997, which received favourable reviews in British Rock mags. Returning to Perh, Mick joined ‘Happy Jack’ playing the pub and corporate circuit.

Mark Nelson: Drums & Backing Vocals
Mark immigrated to Australia from the UK in 2002. Mark has played in a variety of cover and original bands in and around London as well as the South East of England. Bands to have had the pleasure of Mark’s talent include ‘The Mungo Jerry Band’ and members of the ‘Robbie Williams’, ‘Suzi Quattro’ and ‘Paul Weller’ bands. More recently he has played in a number of cover bands around Perth.
