The Burns Bros are two guys, Peter and Ray, who love their ‘Burns’ guitars and enjoy playing them to a wide range of audiences and musical tastes, from the 50s to the present day. The Burns Brothers are a local duo in Perth, Western Australia, and cater for any musical occasion.
Peter, aka ‘Captain Pedro’, is one of Perth’s best known guitar vocalists. He has been involved in most styles of contemporary music for many years, working in the top venues with the best musicians and bands. His renditions of classic ‘Shadows’ guitar instrumentals and wide variety of middle-of-the-road songs make him popular wherever he performs. His musical influences include; The Beatles, The Shadows, Creedence, Chris Rea, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Stones. Peter has recorded several instrumental CDs over the years. His CDs are always in-demand, and are available at the venues he plays. Peter plays Burns, Fender and Cort guitars.
Ray, aka ‘BB’’ is an accomplished guitar vocalist. His love of music started when he was 12 years old when his father bought him a set of drums, and the following year an acoustic guitar. Ray’s musical influences include; Cliff Richard, The Shadows, Bee Gees, Beatles, Eagles, Brian Adams, Cold Chisel, The Police, and many other top artists of the day. Although Ray is an accomplished drummer, his love of the guitar has been of personal interest to him through-out his life. Ray’s repertoire includes a wide variety of musical styles from laid-back acoustic guitar to modern easy listening rock. He has played in duos, trios and bands in many venues around Perth and country Western Australia. Ray plays; Burns, Parker, and Maestro guitars.
Note: Although the ‘Burns Brothers’ are a duo, they can also play as a trio if required, by including another vocalist, guitarist or keyboard player.
The ‘Burns Brothers’ have produced a CD of a selection of their most requested songs and instrumentals. They are available for sale at the venue or by post.
